Hi,

I gave up believing in miracles way back, but this morning, Sunday Sept 16, 2006, I realized that I had to review my point of view on the matter.

On Oct 29, 2004, I was hit sideways by another car, and after a few weeks (!) the local hospital found out that I had suffered like 10 or 12 fractures in my pelvis. Since that wretched day, my life has been like a Hell of Pain. For the past year, the pains spread to my back, arms, hands, legs and feet, and even though I “trained,” walking several hours every day in the woods and on the nearby beach, the pains just grew worse, and I kept falling all the time. A real pain in - erh - the legs …

A few weeks ago, I came across the book, Stretching, in a local flea market. It was, ofcourse, since I live in Denmark, a Danish version from the late seventies. At some 75 cents I reckoned “what he heck” - why not take it home and have a closer look at it.

The book has been lying around under the coffee table, and last night, I tried out some of the exercises, suited to do while watching TV. And - lo and behold - as I woke up this morning, almost all of my pains were gone, as by - a miracle. This new insight was marvellous for me - expensive scans, lengthly physiotherapy sessions, specialists - no-one has been able to remove or explain the painful symptoms. Up till now. And to imagine that it took so little, and with such a minimal, physical effort - and nearly for free!

I cannot thank you enough for this expansion of my experience, and I can hardly wait to tell people around me about my apparant recovery. In a few weeks time I'll know if this is a permanent improvement; but even if my succes is only temporary, it has been marvellous to remember what life was like a few years back: physically effortless.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Larissa Mastrantones

After using your book STRETCHING for more than a year, I think it is time to thank you. My Husband and I have bought 4 more copies and gifted them to others.

It would take much paper to describe to you the many ways and situations in which the book has helped us and others in our home.

I also compliment Jean Anderson for the gentle illustrations and the joyful hat!

"How to" books on psychological topics do not appeal to me. It is good to find a book that is honest and, at the same time, sensitive to human behavior.

Thanks again,

Your book offers so much for people to participate in and enjoy through stretching.

Three and a half years ago my mother, now 79, had a stroke. She was left paralyzed on the right side of her body and without the ability to communicate conventionally.

To say that she “lost her speech” is simply not an adaquate way of describing her situation.

Three and a half years of adjusting to my changing role has left me with an abundance of pent up tension. Once I realized that this was the case, I decided to set out on a path that would reverse this dangerous cycle and totally relax my body.

It seems that I have developed nervous habits, such as winking and sporatic breathing. Things that even your friends have trouble telling you about.

Your book STRETCHING came to my mind as a tool towards a solution for me. It occured to me that my mother might enjoy watching me to through the Everyday Stretches. I started to do them and I noticed that she, sitting in her recliner chair, was trying to do them with me.

We changed her into a leotard (red and white, she loved it), and I put her on a mat on the floor and helped her go through them with me. It was the happiest I have seen her in a long time. She lit up from the time I told her we were going to have her do them too.

Our plan is to go through the routine two or three times a week. I will do the routine daily myself. Thanks for writing the STRETCHING book, it is wonderful!

Sincerely yours,
