Q: How Much Is Two Plus Two?

A man walking down the street needs to know what two plus two equals.

Spotting a psychotherapist’s office, he enters seeking the answer. The psychotherapist has him lie down on the couch and tells him that perhaps, with a year of therapy, he can help him with the problem.

Dissatisfied, the man walks on until he comes to an engineer’s office. The engineer starts furiously punching figures into his calculator. Eventually he says the answer is 3.9999, but he can round it out to four if he wants.

This still doesn’t seem right, so he walks on until he comes to a lawyer’s office. He is ushered in to see the lawyer and explains the problem. The lawyer thinks about it a minute, then puts his arm around the man’s shoulders and asks, “What would you like it to be?”
